Shopper's Voice® is dedicated to ensuring that this information is managed responsibly with respect for your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the information we collect both on our websites and through our electronic and paper Consumer Product Survey. We have outlined our privacy policy below.
Shopper's Voice collects consumer opinions, shopping habits & other related information in order to provide services of value to our individual members and partner companies. We generally use this information in 3 ways:
- To provide members with relevant information and offers
- To help partner companies introduce new products and market existing ones
- To send members other information about Shopper's Voice
We also may use and share information as described in our Privacy Policy below. Please read the rest of our Privacy Policy for more information.
What information we collect |
Survey Information:Shopper's Voice conducts the Consumer Product Survey, which includes questions regarding your household's product usage, brand preferences, shopping habits and lifestyles (hobbies & interests such as reading & sports) as well as demographic information (for example, number of people in household, age, gender, household income). This information enables us to provide you with the most relevant information and offers for your household. Many of our partners create offers especially for people with certain interests and demographic characteristics.
Email Use Information: If you opt-in to receive email from Shopper’s Voice by completing a Consumer Product Survey and providing your email address, then Shopper's Voice will collect information about whether our members are opening email and clicking-through to the content and offers contained in the email. This information is used to determine whether to resend offers to you and also may be used in combination with that of other members solely in an aggregate and anonymous format. The aggregate information is used to develop summary reports for our partner companies and us so we can enhance and improve our products and services.
Cookies: Cookies are small text files that are stored on your browser and store data to make your browsing experience easier and faster. Shopper's Voice uses cookies to identify return visitors to our website, and to save you time so you don't have to re-enter your password each time you visit our website. In some cases we also use cookies to understand activity at our websites or websites you reach through our email. This information is only used in combination with that of other members, solely in an aggregate and anonymous format.
You can set your Internet browser to accept or reject cookies, or alert you when a cookie has been placed on your computer. If you reject cookies, you may still use this website, but you may be limited in the functionality of some areas. The "help" menu on your browser's toolbar will tell you how to change your cookie preferences.
Third Party Information: Shopper's Voice may use additional information from other companies to help our partner companies and us to enhance and improve our respective products and services and to provide you with more relevant information and offers.
Shopper’s Voice may also collect other information with your consent or as permitted or required by law.
How we use and share information |
“Thank-you” coupons & samples:If you complete the Consumer Product Survey and provide your name and address, Shopper's Voice may use this information to send you free packets of high-value coupons, samples, information and offers by postal mail, as a “thank-you” for filling out the survey.
Bonus Offers: Companies that sell products and services, about which our members are likely to be interested, seek out groups like ours to provide additional free product samples, valuable trial coupons, information, research, discounts and other offers via postal mail and on occasion, by telephone. If you choose, you may receive these additional offers by providing us permission on the Consumer Product Survey to share your information with our partner companies. We will share your personal information with our partner companies, as necessary in order for them to provide you the samples, information and offers that would be most relevant to you. We have contractual agreements with our partners to ensure that personal information that they receive from us is handled securely.
If at any time you no longer want to receive these offers, you can remove yourself by following the instructions indicated below under Managing your Membership.
Email Offers:If you provide Shopper's Voice with your email address, you may also receive additional offers (including those for research purposes) and useful information via email. We work with companies to send you, on their behalf, relevant email information and offers based on the survey information you have provided. We do not share your personal information with our partner companies in relation to email offers.
If at any time you no longer want to receive email offers, you can unsubscribe following the instructions indicated below under Managing your Membership.
Legal Requests: In addition to the disclosure of your personal information noted above, we may use and disclose any information about you as permitted or required by law, including to law enforcement, other government officials or other third parties as we in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.
Merger or Consolidation:We may also disclose such information to third parties as we believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with a proposed or actual merger, consolidation, financing, securitization, insuring, sale, assignment or other disposal of all or part of Shopper’s Voice or our business or assets, for the purposes of evaluating and/or performing the proposed or actual transaction provided that such a third party agrees to use and/or disclose your personal information for purposes that are consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Summary Reports & Analysis: Some of the information you provide will also be combined with the same kind of information from other members to create aggregate and anonymous research reports. These reports help our partner companies and us to enhance and improve our respective products and services. We may use and/or provide these reports to third parties for analysis or other purposes, however, the information in these reports will not personally identify you as the information combines members in aggregate and anonymous format.
Choices and managing your membership |
Email Offers: If you want to receive email offers from Shopper's Voice on behalf of our partner companies you can do so by providing your email address on the Consumer Product Survey. You can stop receiving these emails at any time by following the "Unsubscribe" instructions on any email we send you, at managing your membership online, or by writing to us.
Bonus Offers: You will qualify for these offers if you have completed the Consumer Product Survey, provided your name and address and provided us permission to share your personal information with our partner companies to provide you with free product samples, valuable trial coupons, information, research, discounts and other offers via postal mail. You can let us know that you wish to stop receiving these offers, by contacting us directly via email to contactus@Shoppers-Voice.com via postal mail at the address indicated below under Contact Us, or at managing your membership online. Please remember to include your name and address (city, province and postal code) for verification purposes. Our partner companies are updated on a regular basis about members who no longer wish to receive bonus offers.
Correcting/Updating Your Information: Your contact information is what we use to send you information, extra offers, updates on contests and surveys. If you are a member who has provided Shopper's Voice with your email address, you can update your own contact information by logging in and updating your profile.
If you are a member who has not provided Shopper's Voice with an email address and you wish to change your address for future postal mailings and offers, please contact us directly either via email at contactus@Shoppers-Voice.com or via postal mail at the address indicated below under Contact Us. Please remember to include your name, old address and new address including city, province and postal code, to ensure accuracy.
Shopper’s Voice may establish and maintain a file of your personal information for the purposes described above, which will be accessible at our offices. Authorized employees and agents of Shopper’s Voice who require access to your personal information in order to fulfill their job requirements will have access to your personal information. If you wish to request access or correction of your personal information in our custody or control, you may email contactus@Shoppers-Voice.com or write to the below address. Your right to access and correct your personal information is subject to applicable legal restrictions. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
You may also withdraw your consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to contractual and legal restrictions and reasonable notice. Security |
You are ultimately responsible for the security of your Shopper’s Voice membership password. Please take care when using and storing it. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. You should log out of your browser at the end of each computer session to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence, if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place, such as a library.

Third party practices and data transfer
Shopper’s Voice may transfer the personal information we collect from you to third parties we use to assist in providing our programs and services, including for the purposes of data processing , data warehousing, data verification and supplementation, market research, fulfillment and technical support. By submitting your survey, you agree to this transfer, storing and processing. Personal information held by Shopper’s Voice, its affiliates, agents and/or service providers may be located in and transferred to the United States, Canada, and the Philippines.When third parties are employed for such purposes, the security of members' personal information is maintained in conformity with this Privacy Policy and is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which the information is held, which may include lawful requirements to disclose personal information to government authorities in certain circumstances.
Our email messages may contain links to other sites that may not be affiliated with Shopper's Voice. Please note that these other sites may have privacy policies that differ from those of Shopper's Voice. We have no control over any personal information you choose to provide these sites and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party site you may link to from our email messages.
Terms & Conditions
Shopper's Voice products and services are intended for residents of Canada and the US that are over 18 years of age. To participate in the Tobacco Products category a birth date and signature are required to certify the respondent is at least 19 in Canada, and 21 in the US.By registering with Shopper's Voice, completing a Consumer Product Survey and/or using any of the services offered by Shopper's Voice, you agree to abide by our terms and conditions and this Privacy Policy.
